This post is for the bloggers. If you're not a blogger come back next week and find out why the Dept. of Family and Child Services is after me. Again.

Ok bloggers, most of you know about a little manic daily blog thing in November called NowGoBloMe. Wait that's not it . . . NoMoreBloPops.

Oh I kid. It's called NaBloPoMo = Nationl Blog Posting Month. And there's it's little bastard cousin called NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month.

I'm not participating in either of these November events because I'm lazy. But if you are then good for you and keep it up and mainline the coffee and all that.

But I have decided to create my own little November event in solidarity with this frantic blogging month. I'm calling it NaBloCoEmFxFrGdsSk = National Blog Comment Email Fix For God's Sake. I think it has quite a ring to it.

My goal is to get every blogger who reads this to fix their email comment reply settings. Why? Because when you leave me these funny comments I read them on my 'berry and I giggle and then I reply to you and your funniness. Then I realize that you have your comment reply settings set to go to the land of lost emails: "no reply at blogger dot com." And our whole line of communication is lost. I just can't have that.

So I'm instituting NaBloCoEmFxFrGdsSk.

I'm not even sure which setting controls the email monster. But I'm going to let you look at my settings because I'm all sharey like that.

Ok so I'm sharey but I'm not very techy so you can't read these images very well. But you'll get the gist of it

First, if you're on Blogger log into your account. Go into the Settings Tab (see the big fat red circle I drew to draw your eye to the Settings Tab?)

Second, scroll down until you see the two places where you can put your email address. I have no idea which one of these actually controls the comment email address so I would suggest you just change both of them to your real email address. And that's that. Go forth. Participate in NaBloCoEmFxFrGdsSk and let the conversation begin!

Mmmmmk. I'll give it a shot. But just for you. I'm doing NaNoWriMo. But I'm sucking it up because my daughter got sick. At least that's what I'm blaming it on. I didn't even know about the blog one. And I'm glad. Because what if I'd joined that madness too??

Congrats on the 5 star friday thing?

I'm in! I think I already was in. However, wanting to do something, I got rid of the word verification in comments. And the heavens rained down!

I shall now return to my regularly scheduled bout of November laziness.

Great post! I, too, am banning NaMoFoSHITNo, or you know, whatever it's called. I've only done the writing version in the past, not the blogging one, but it didn't exactly lead to productive writing. Just copious amounts of writing.

And now I'm off to change my email settings, because you totally don't want to lose track of ME. ;)

I did it! Whohooo!!! Now you can comment to my comments and they won't get lost in nowhere land. They will come to me :)

You're talking to me, aren't you?

You're gonna take away my Atari and Scotch if I don't comply, aren't you?

Dammit.

FADGOK you are not in! (Well, maybe you are now). And cIII too! I've been tying to dig yours out from long ago comments to no avail.

So THREE CHEERS to Carolyn! I literally had this same thing happen today when I was trying to email people back. I sent three mails before realizing they were all going nowhere.

I did NaNoWriMo 2 years ago. It sucked. The End.

That was actually a much better story than the novel I wrote.

Congrats on 5 Star Friday!

I think my Blogger settings best reflect the inner me. You can't change me! I'm kidding. You can.

Priceless Carolyn! Now if you can just get people to turn off that stupid word verification!!! UGH what a pain. I understand not wanting spam but I really don't get that much and I just moderate my comments to keep the AH's out, if you know what I mean.

Sorry didn't mean to get on your soap box with my hangups... carry on... where were we...

oh yea... Emails people... if you don't want to use your personal email, create a new one for blogging... their FREE!!! LOL

Well now that's just about creative! You just gave us an online inservice and one well worth it!

I'm hoping mine is set already because I have heard from you. However, I hate to respond and click send only to realize it has been lost in cyberspace!

Good for you!

Amen, preach it sistah!

Yes, nothing worse than a great comment you can't reply to because they haven't added their email to their profile.

And I don't like going back and posting comments on my own blog. I like the give and take of email! Anyway, so you know I'm a convert already.

Hmmmm, I think I have it set right. People email me back, so that means yes, yes?

Ok, I am a blogger, but a really really lame blogger. And by that I mean I usually have nothing to say but I post a lot of pictures. Every now and again I'll have a bitch fest on my blog... I'm no Jesus! Anywho, I don't use blogspot, so I have no idea how to change my settings.

I am just here to say...I love your blog. (We met at BlogHer...remember me? I blew you off...or something like that).

Let's see if my comment gets lost in a black hole! Or maybe you just blew me off. Sheesh.

Count me in! Anything we can do to spread the word to our unconnected brothers and sisters and pull them out of their dark caves, by the hair if needed, will go a long way to making the rest of us a lot happier

And NaBloMeMo? Once is enough. Just because you can write everyday doesn't mean you should.

Okay...I think that I will go check and see what mine is set on...I think that you can reply to mine, others have. I think. I know my email is on my sidebar...somewhere...okay, now I'm confused...let me just run out and check.

Oh, bless you. It makes me crazy when I type out a long, thoughtful response to no-reply@whatever.com. I mean, I never do that, of course, but if I ever did, it would really upset me.

Ok. I tried. Hope I succeeded.
